While it is impossible to ignore alarming trends in reproductive health, the impact of conflicts, and the rise of noncommunicable diseases, a look to the future also provides grounds for optimism. Powerful women are redesigning health systems to better meet the needs of families, innovative delivery strategies are improving outcomes in remote villages, and dialogue across countries and continents is allowing best practices to be shared.
