Abbott Presents: Tech for the Many, Not the Few
Setup
In the face of the pandemic, technology became an important part of how we accessed care almost overnight. Suddenly, physician video consults became standard practice, tests and devices were routinely used to diagnose and monitor disease at home, and new software was connecting people with the information they needed from the convenience of their phones or tablets. This changing landscape elevated the value—as well as the challenges and opportunities—of using digital tools in health, and underscores the need to further democratize, decentralize, and digitize access to care. How can tech innovators, policymakers and health leaders seize the moment to connect tech with the people who need it most—in a way that delivers healthier, more equitable outcomes for all?
