Adrienne LaFrance is editor of She was previously a senior editor and staff writer at The Atlantic, which she joined in 2014. Earlier, LaFrance was a national reporter for Digital First Media’s Project Thunderdome, specializing in investigations and national news, and ran the Washington bureau of Honolulu Civil Beat, covering Congress, federal elections, and the intersection of money and politics. She also worked as a staff writer at Nieman Journalism Lab, managing editor of Honolulu Weekly, reporter and news anchor for Hawaii Public Radio, and news writer for WBUR, Boston’s NPR affiliate. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Gawker, Slate, The Awl, and others.
