CDC Foundation
The CDC Foundation helps the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the nation’s public health system save and improve lives by unleashing the power of collaboration between CDC, philanthropies, corporations, organizations and individuals to protect the health, safety and security of America and the world.
Combining private resources with CDC’s world-class scientific expertise, our partnerships help CDC launch new programs, expand existing programs and establish pilot projects that build upon the foundation of public health—preventing outbreaks, fighting chronic disease and preventing injury.
By investing in public health today, at home and abroad, we will spend less tomorrow, protect our economy and ensure a safe and healthy society. That is why, since 1995, we have launched more than 1,400 programs and brought in more than $2.2 billion through partnerships with philanthropies, corporations, organizations, government and individuals. Our work with partners and CDC has saved and improved millions of lives in the United States and across the globe.
Today, we continue to build on this legacy. In addition to our traditional programming, we are taking on new challenges—strengthening communities, modernizing public health protection data, addressing the climate and health challenge, fortifying global health security, promoting health through communication and strengthening the public health system to protect us all.
This year, we are proud to again participate in Aspen Ideas: Health and elevate the essential role public health protection plays in our health and economic wellbeing. Throughout this vital gathering, we look forward to engaging with leaders and changemakers committed to creating a safer and healthier world for everyone.
