Zach Maurin is executive director of Service Year Alliance, dedicated to making national service a national priority. Previously, he was executive director of ServiceNation, which grew to a membership of 100,000 and a coalition of 550 organizations, and co-founder of ServeNext, which helped pass the national service legislation. Featured and interviewed for his work in national service by CNN, Buzzfeed, MSNBC, TIME, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, and The Hollywood Reporter, Maurin has received City Year’s Comcast Leadership Award, was a finalist for an Echoing Green Fellowship, and was named a White House Champion of Change and to the 2010 40 Under 40 New Leaders Council list.
