Ted Koppel is a senior contributor to CBS’s “Sunday Morning” and contributing columnist to The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal. The former 26-year anchor and managing editor of ABC News’s “Nightline” — the longest-serving news anchor in US broadcast history — was also the network’s most honored reporter. Among dozens of accolades, Koppel has won 42 Emmy Awards and 12 Columbia-DuPont Awards, television’s equivalent to the Pulitzer. After leaving ABC, Koppel worked as managing editor for the Discovery Network, a contributing analyst for BBC America, and a special correspondent for NBC News’s “Rock Center.” His most recent book is Lights Out, a New York Times best-seller.
