Stephen Kennedy
Co-Principal Investigator and Coordinator, Ebola Virus Vaccine Trial
Stephen Kennedy is the co-principal investigator of the Ebola Virus Disease Vaccine Trial and a coordinator for Ebola virus disease research programs. He has 27 years of experience as a medical doctor, and he has been intimately involved in Liberia’s Ebola response and in the effort to develop and deliver a vaccine. Kennedy is also the first secretary general of the Liberia College of Physicians and Surgeons. Prior to the Ebola epidemic, he established the first infectious disease research center at the University of Liberia. Kennedy is a 2016 Aspen Institute New Voices fellow.
