Smita Satiani is a social designer who manages public-policy moonshots at X (formerly Google X), Alphabet’s R&D factory. Previously, she was deputy director of the White House's Presidential Innovation Fellows program. Before that, she spent nearly four years at Ashoka, where she launched an accelerator program for early stage innovators. She has also worked for the William J. Clinton Foundation, the CIA, and the City of Los Angeles. Over the last six years, Satiani has advised over 20 heads of state and first ladies. Her work has been featured at the MIT Media Lab, the New York Tech MeetUp, and in Forbes.com, TechCrunch, and The Wall Street Journal.
