Satya Rhodes-Conway is the mayor of Madison, Wisconsin, elected in 2019. She is focused on affordable housing, rapid transit, climate change and racial equity. Rhodes-Conway testified before the Building Climate Resilient Communities hearing of the U.S. House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis in 2021. Prior to this, she was managing director of the Mayors Innovation Project. Previously, Rhodes-Conway was a senior associate at the Center on Wisconsin Strategy at University of Wisconsin-Madison and served three terms on the Madison Common Council. She is co-chair of Climate Mayors, an appointed member of EPA's Local Government Advisory Committee, founding member of Mayors for a Guaranteed Income and a member of Mayors Against Gun Violence.
