Sarah Hunter is the director of public policy and government relations for Alphabet’s X (formerly Google X), whose mission is to launch innovative new technologies to help make the world a better place. Prior to her current role, which she assumed in 2013, she ran Google’s UK policy team for four years. Hunter’s background is in government and policy development. She was a senior policy advisor to the former UK prime minister, Tony Blair, for five years. Hunter built her policy expertise by working within the broadcasting and media sector for companies such as the BBC and British public Channel 4.
