Ruchi Jain is co-founder and CEO of Taru Naturals, an organic fair-trade foods brand focused on creating end-to-end value chains for small-scale farmers across India. She previously worked with the World Bank Ministry of New and Renewable Energy on a project to scale energy access in rural India. Jain has also consulted for the European Academies Science Advisory Council, traveled extensively as a grassroots worker, and is an Art of Living Natural Farming trainer. In 2021, Taru Naturals received a UN 50 Best Small Businesses award as part of its Good Food for All competition. Jain has been named one of 15 Women Transforming India by the Indian government and one of GQ’s 50 Most Influential Young Indians, among other honors.
