Ross Cagan

Ross Cagan is a researcher at The Mount Sinai Hospital, founder and director of the Center for Personalized Cancer Therapeutics, and a professor in the Department of Developmental and Regenerative Biology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. A leader in the field of personalized cancer treatment, his work focuses on the use of Drosophila (fruit flies) to address disease mechanisms and therapeutics. He is also co-founder and a board member of Medros, which advises on the use of Drosophila for disease-based screens, and editor in chief of the journal Disease Models and Mechanisms. Cagan was previously a professor at Washington University School of Medicine, from 1993 to 2007. (Festival Underwriter Presenter)
