Robert F. Smith

Robert Smith is the founder, chairman and CEO of Vista Equity Partners, investing in businesses that use technology, software and data to promote economic equity, ecological responsibility, and diversity and inclusion. He helped establish the Student Freedom Initiative, which supports eligible students at historically Black colleges and universities and other minority serving institutions. Smith co-leads Southern Communities Initiative, a racial equity program in six Southern communities representing half of all Black Americans. He is the founding director and president of Fund II Foundation and an at-large board member of Business Roundtable. Smith was named one of TIME 100’s Most Influential People In 2020 and one of the 100 Greatest Living Business Minds by Forbes.
