
Reshma Saujani
Founder and CEO, Girls Who Code
Reshma Saujani is founder and CEO of Girls Who Code, an international nonprofit working to close the gender gap in technology that has reached 500 million people and 300,000 girls. She was previously deputy public advocate for New York City, ran for public advocate in 2013, and was the first Indian-American woman to run for US Congress, in 2010. Earlier in her career, Saujani worked as a counsel at Fortress Investment Group and other financial firms. She is the author of the best-sellers Brave, Not Perfect and Girls Who Code: Learn to Code and Change the World. Her TED talk, “Teach girls, bravery not perfection,” has more than five million views.
