Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States, the first woman to serve in this role. Prior to this, she was the first woman to lead a multisports federation in Saudi Arabia as president of the Mass Participation Federation. Previously, Princess Bandar was vice president of women’s affairs at the Saudi General Sports Authority, developing policies and programs to benefit women and children. Earlier in her career, she was the CEO of Alfa International Company Limited-Harvey Nichols Riyadh retail company, where she commissioned a study on obstacles for women in the workplace and opened the first workplace nursery in a retail store. Princess Bandar is an elected member of the International Olympic Committee.
