
Peter Pisters
President, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center
Peter Pisters is president of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Pisters established his career at MD Anderson as a faculty member and medical director for the center’s expansion in metropolitan Houston. He left MD Anderson to serve as president and CEO of the University Health Network in Toronto, where he also was president and CEO of The Michener Institute of Education and professor of surgery. Pisters is on the board of the Greater Houston Partnership and the CEO Roundtable on Cancer. In 2021 Glassdoor named him a Top CEO and The Houston Business Journal named him one of Houston’s Most Admired CEOs. He was also honored as CEO Communicator of the Year by the Public Relations Society of America’s Houston Chapter.
