Pawan Patil

Pawan Patil is an economist, development banker, inventor, and philanthropist. He founded InteliCare Solutions Philanthropy, dedicated to improving millions of young lives for good and improving ocean health. A 25-year veteran of the World Bank Group, Patil built its sustainable ocean investment portfolio, conceptualized sustainable forestry investments, and brought analytic, policy, and investment rigor to the blue economy paradigm. He co-founded youth2youth, a volunteer network across the World Bank Group, and founded the Global Youth Climate Network. Earlier, Patil was chief economist at Silatech, where he co-created youth-serving banks. A WBG corporate leadership award recipient and Mentor of the Year, he was named a Girl Hero by Nike for co-creating the Nike Foundation and its Girl Effect campaign, and an SDG Hero for advancing UN Sustainable Development Goals.
