Paul Nicklen

Paul Nicklen is a conservation photographer, filmmaker and marine biologist who has documented the beauty and plight of the planet for over 30 years. His unique expertise in documentary photography allows him to create an emotional connection with wild subjects in extreme conditions. Also a speaker who has given lectures to numerous influential people and organizations, Nicklen has exhibited in galleries, museums, institutions and personal collections worldwide. In 2014, he co-founded SeaLegacy, a global conservation, education and communication agency for the ocean. He became a staff photographer for National Geographic in the early 1990s. His imagery has garnered over 30 photography awards, including the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year and the World Press Photo Award, and in 2019, Nicklen was the youngest person inducted into the International Photography Hall of Fame.
