Paul “DJ Spooky” Miller is a composer, multimedia artist, and writer whose work immerses audiences in a blend of genres, global culture, and environmental and social issues. His multimedia performance pieces include Rebirth of a Nation and Terra Nova: Sinfonia Antarctica. He was an artist in residence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and in 2014 was named a National Geographic Emerging Explorer. Author of four books and editor of Origin Magazine, Miller’s writing also includes pieces in The Village Voice and Artforum. His artwork has shown at the Whitney Biennial, Miami/Art Basel fair, and many museums and galleries, and he received the 2017-2018 Hewlett 50 Arts Commission Award.
