Paola Antonelli

Senior Curator of Architecture and Design, Museum of Modern Art

Paola Antonelli is senior curator of architecture and design at the Museum of Modern Art, where she is also founding director of research and development. Antonelli’s work investigates design’s impact on everyday experience, combining design, architecture, art, science and technology. Her recent exhibitions include the XXII Triennale di Milano’s “Broken Nature” and MoMA’s “Material Ecology” on architect Neri Oxman’s work and “Never Alone” on video games and interactive design. Antonelli co-founded the Instagram platform and book “Design Emergency,” an ongoing investigation of design's power to envision a better future. She has been named one of the 25 most incisive design visionaries in the world by Time, inducted into the U.S. Art Directors Club Hall of Fame, and awarded the London Design Medal.
