Michael Strautmanis is executive vice president for external affairs at the Obama Foundation. There, he works to develop the Obama Presidential Center and, through economic renewal on the South Side of Chicago, the city’s next generation of leaders.Strautmanis also leads My Brother's Keeper Alliance, creating safe, healthy and nurturing communities for boys and young men of color across the nation. Prior to this, he was vice president of citizenship and strategic programs at The Walt Disney Company. Previously, Strautmanis was counselor for strategic engagement and chief of staff to senior adviser Valerie Jarrett in the Obama White House. He is a board member of Everside Health, Emerald South Economic Development Collaborative and the Billie Jean King Leadership Institute.
