Michael Polsky is the CEO of Invenergy, a clean energy company he founded in 2001. With over 35 years of experience, he is a pioneer and leader in the cogeneration and independent power industry in North America. In 1991, Polsky founded SkyGen Energy, a developer, owner and operator of natural-gas-fueled generating plants that was purchased by Calpine Corporation in 2001. Prior to that, he co-founded and was president of Indeck Energy Services and was an engineer at Fluor, Brown Boveri, Bechtel, and the Power Plant Design Institute in his native Ukraine. A recipient of the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award, Polsky was an appointed member of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council and endowed a center for entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
