Marie Nelson

Marie Nelson is vice president of news and public affairs for PBS. Previously, she was executive producer of national programs at PBS member station WGBH, where her work included “America by the Numbers,” an eight-part documentary series on America’s changing demographics. Prior to WGBH, Nelson was acting vice president of news and original programming for BET Networks. Earlier in her career, she was founding executive producer for NPR’s “Tell Me More” and a producer for “Nightline” with Ted Koppel and “World News Tonight” at ABC News. Nelson has also served in public affairs and international development roles with the US Department of State, the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, and Africare. (Festival Underwriter Presenter)
