Mack McCarter

Mack McCarter is the founder and coordinator of Community Renewal International, a faith-based nonprofit focused on restoring the foundation of safe and caring communities by rebuilding the system of caring relationships. He started the organization in 1994. An ordained minister in the Disciples of Christ church, McCarter was previously a pastor of Christian churches in Texas for 18 years. His recognition includes receiving the National Conference on Citizenship’s Citizen of the Year award, Brite Divinity School’s 2018 Distinguished Minister of the Year, and Centenary College’s 2015 Christian Leadership awards.
