Co-Founder, Jessi's Message

Lonnie and Sandy Phillips are the parents of Jessica Ghawi, who was murdered in the Aurora, CO, theater shooting massacre on July 20, 2012, and activists for the prevention of gun violence. Since their daughter’s death, they’ve sold their belongings, bought an RV, and are traveling the country speaking to organizations and reaching out to other victims/survivors. The Phillipses have met with the president, vice president, and state and federal lawmakers promoting legislation to save lives by reducing gun violence. They are featured in the documentary, Under the Gun, and have been interviewed on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, BBC, and CBS, as well as numerous radio and print outlets.
