Laura Marquez-Garrett is an attorney at Social Media Victims Law Center. There, they have initiated more than 100 complaints relating to social media harms, advocated in support of state and federal legislation, and spoken on panels, podcasts, film, and before the House Energy and Commerce Committee to bring about change and hold social media companies accountable. Prior to this, Marquez-Garrett was an attorney at Lane Powell, overseeing litigation matters and specializing in electronic evidence and forensic investigation. Previously, they practiced law at Foster Pepper and, before that, Thelen Reid Brown Raysman and Steiner. Marquez-Garrett is a board member of Fairplay and advisory board member of Phone-Free Schools Movement.
