Kapil Mohabir
Founder, Partner, and Head Grower, Plympton Farms
Kapil Mohabir is founder, partner, and head grower of Plympton Farms, the largest grower, aggregator, and processor of chili peppers in the Caribbean. Prior to this, he was director of the Guyana REDD+ Investment Fund in the office of the president of Guyana. He previously had a finance career in New York, including doing mergers and acquisitions for Credit Suisse and investment bank Moelis & Company. But since earning his MBA at Harvard, Mohabir returned to his native Guyana to help smallholder farmers, which Plympton does by providing economic opportunities that help empower them and indigenous communities. With hopes of scaling this impact, Mohabir is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and Aspen Institute New Voices Fellow.
