Kam Buckner is a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 26th District. He is the past chair of the Illinois House Legislative Black Caucus and currently serves as assistant majority leader. Buckner has passed legislation on gun control, education funding, collegiate-athlete name image and likeness, and was a lead negotiator on the Climate Equity and Jobs Act making Illinois a national leader on climate action and charting a path to a 100 percent clean energy future by 2050.
