Julia Marsh is the co-founder and CEO of Sway, a clean tech company replacing plastics with compostable materials made from seaweed. As a designer, her work is focused on regenerative design and biological circularity. Previously, Marsh spent over a decade building brand and packaging systems for consumer goods companies, technology startups and design studios. In 2022, Sway was a finalist in the Tom Ford Plastic Innovation Prize, and in 2021, the company won the Beyond the Bag Challenge, sponsored by Closed Loop Partners and a consortium of global retailers. Sway and Marsh have been featured in Vogue, Forbes, Business Insider and Fast Company. The company is a member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, Sustainable Ocean Alliance, and 1% for the Planet.
