Director, Lymphoma Immunotherapy Program, Icahn School of Medicine, Mount Sinai Health System (Festival Underwriter)

Joshua Brody is an oncologist, focusing on lymphoma and leukemias, and director of the Lymphoma Immunotherapy Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In this position since December 2011, he oversees development of therapies using the immune system to eliminate cancer, including an in-situ vaccine produced by injecting immune stimulants directly into patients’ tumors that teaches the immune system to eliminate cancer throughout the body. With his pioneering approach producing some long-lasting remissions, Brody’s lab is now studying it further. Brody was previously a medical oncology fellow at Stanford University Medical Center and an instructor in Stanford’s Division of Oncology, from 2003 to 2011. (Festival Underwriter Presenter)
