Jon Paul Brooker

Jon Paul (J.P.) Brooker is director of Florida conservation for the Ocean Conservancy. An environmental attorney, he works on marine conservation issues, including fisheries, wildlife conservation, sea-level rise and climate change, water quality and abundance, marine debris, and oil and gas. Brooker has been with Ocean Conservancy since 2013, first as policy counsel for its fish conservation program and then as senior manager and policy counsel for Florida conservation, before assuming his current role in 2020. He’s an executive council member of the Florida Bar’s Environmental and Land Use Law Section and an advisory panelist of the National Marine Fisheries Service’s Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council. Brooker previously co-founded and was general counsel for the nonprofit Kids for Clean Water.
