Jeramey Anderson
District 110 Representative (D), Mississippi House of Representatives
Jeramey Anderson is a Democratic member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, who at age 21 was the youngest African American elected to a state legislature in 2013. He won reelection in 2015 and 2019, and unsuccessfully ran for the US House of Representatives in 2018. At age 16, Anderson founded the Foundation for a Brighter America, a boys’ mentoring organization where he’s currently the executive director. He is an advisory board member of Let America Vote and co-chairs the Mississippi Future Caucus, a bipartisan caucus for lawmakers under 40. Anderson received his associate degree in criminal justice from Pearl River Community College and his bachelor’s degree in homeland security from Tulane University.
