Jennifer Pitt

Director, Colorado River Program, National Audubon Society

Jennifer Pitt directs the Colorado River Program at the National Audubon Society, where her team works to improve water management throughout the Colorado River Basin. She helped forge U.S.-Mexico Colorado River agreements and works with Alianza Revive el Río Colorado, in partnership with these federal governments, to protect and restore the Colorado River Delta. Prior to this, Pitt worked at the Environmental Defense Fund for 17 years, protecting and restoring freshwater ecosystems in the Colorado River Basin and helping produce the first federal assessment of climate-change impacts on it. She co-chairs the Minute 323 Environmental Work Group for the International Boundary and Water Commission and co-leads the steering committee of the Alianza Revive el Río Colorado, a coalition of six U.S. and Mexican NGOs working to restore the Delta.
