Jena Cane
Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Citizen University
Jena Cane is chief creative officer of Citizen University, which she co-founded with her husband Eric Liu in 2012. In her role, she has shepherded the creation of Citizen University’s core programs, including Civic Saturday, Civic Seminary, Sworn-Again America, and National Conference. For over 25 years, Cane created and performed with her Seattle-based theater company, taking reimagined classics and new works to communities and festivals around the world, as well as teaching theater arts to kids of all ages. She has also been a partner in Guiding Lights Weekend and the communications director for the Seattle International Children’s Festival.
