Jen Buckner is senior vice president of technology risk management at Mastercard. Prior to this, she was senior vice president of security lifecycle services at Mastercard.A former Army Brigadier General, she shaped US Cyber Command’s response to major cyber events attributed to nation-state adversaries, led a US government interagency task force to counter ISIS in cyberspace, and established relationships with US and foreign partners to mitigate the threat of cyber attacks. As chief of the Army’s cyber branch and training center, Buckner developed strategies for cyber talent recruitment, retention, and leader development. She is also an independent director with US Xpress and holds advisory roles with the Cyber Risk Institute and Partnership for Public Service Cybersecurity Talent Initiative.
