Honey Yang Estrada is president of the North Carolina Community Health Worker Association. The eldest daughter of Hmong refugees who came to the United States during time of war, Estrada understands the struggles families face in navigating various societal systems and the existing barriers that inhibit them from achieving positive outcomes. A proud community health worker with experience rooted in community health and advocacy, she has worked in health care and public health for over 20 years. Throughout her career, Estrada has continuously served as a catalyst for change as she champions racial and health equity.
