Global Managing Director and Lead Scientist for Strategy Innovation, The Nature Conservancy
Heather Tallis is global managing director and lead scientist for strategy innovation at The Nature Conservancy, which she joined in 2013. She leads the Science iTeam and founded and chairs the Bridge Collaborative. Previously, she was lead scientist at the Natural Capital Project. Tallis has held expert advisory roles with the World Bank and the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services. An adjunct faculty member at University of California, Santa Cruz, she also hosts events and speaks widely on the need to shift the face and focus of conservation and is co-editor of the book, Natural Capital: The Theory and Practice of Mapping Ecosystem Services.
