Griffin Dunne is an actor, producer and director. Most recently, he played a character inspired by the late David Carr of The New York Times in the HBO Max series, “The Girls on the Bus.” In 2017, he directed and produced the Netflix documentary “Joan Didion: The Center Will Not Hold.” Dunne’s film credits include "Dallas Buyers Club," "Last Night," and "Broken City." On television, he recurred on the Showtime series "House of Lies" and the Fox series "Red Band Society," which he directed. Dunne was also in “This is Us” for five seasons. His feature film directorial debut was 1997's "Addicted to Love," followed a year later by "Practical Magic." Dunne was nominated for an Oscar in 1996 for his short film, “Duke of Groove.”
