Gloria Mark

Gloria Mark is a professor in the Informatics Department at University of California, Irvine, researching how digital technology impacts our lives, particularly multitasking, focus of attention, interruptions, mood, and stress. She has worked at the German National Research Center for Information Technology and has been a visiting researcher at Microsoft Research, MIT, IBM, and National University of Singapore. Mark is a research affiliate at MIT Media Lab. She was a 2006 Fulbright scholarship recipient and has published in the top conferences and journals of her field. She is general chair for the ACM CHI 2017 conference and sits on the editorial boards of the ACM, TOCHI, and Human-Computer Interaction journals.
