George Conway

Board President, Society for the Rule of Law; Contributing Writer, The Atlantic

George Conway is board president of the Society for the Rule of Law, an organization of conservative and libertarian lawyers and others that he founded in 2018 to address threats to the rule of law in America. He is also a contributing writer at The Atlantic and a former contributor to The Washington Post editorial page. An attorney, Conway practiced business litigation for three decades in New York City. He successfully argued the securities case Morrison v. National Australia Bank before the Supreme Court in 2010 and represented Paula Jones in her lawsuit against President Bill Clinton. A founding member and advisor of the Lincoln Project, Conway frequently provides legal and political commentary on CNN and MSNBC.
