Elisa Port

Chief of Breast Surgery, Mount Sinai Health System

Elisa Port is chief of breast surgery at Mount Sinai Health System and director of the Dubin Breast Center. She joined Mount Sinai Hospital and Icahn School of Medicine in 2010 and is now professor of surgery. After her surgical training in 1999, Port joined the Memorial Sloan Kettering Breast Surgery Service, where she remained until joining Mount Sinai. She is a leading expert in sentinel-node biopsy, nipple-sparing mastectomy, and the use of breast MRI. Port’s clinical and basic science research has been published in numerous journals. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Breast Diseases, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Port is the author of The New Generation Breast Cancer Book(Mount Sinai is a 2023 Festival Underwriter)
