Elham Fanous
Pianist, Afghanistan National Institute of Music
Elham Fanous is a pianist with the Afghanistan National Institute of Music. He has performed as a soloist at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and Library of Congress as well as for international dignitaries through the Embassy Series: Uniting People through Music Diplomacy. Fanous has been profiled on NPR, BBC, NBC, Military Times, Air Force Times, New York Post, and in international media. He is a recipient of the Young Musical Scholars Foundation and Anna Sosenko Assist Trust Fund. The subject of a German television documentary and a Welcome.US council member, Fanous was named to WQXR’s 20 for 20 Artists to Watch list. He graduated with honors from both Hunter College and Manhattan School of Music.
