Eddie Glaude is the James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor and department chair of African American Studies at Princeton University. Previously, he was president of the American Academy of Religion. The author of six books, including Democracy in Black: How Race Still Enslaves the American Soul and An Uncommon Faith: A Pragmatic Approach to the Study of African American Religion, Glaude’s most recent is Begin Again: James Baldwin's America and Its Urgent Lessons for Our Own. He is a columnist for TIME and a contributor to the MSNBC programs “Morning Joe” and “Deadline Whitehouse” with Nicolle Wallace. A trustee of Morehouse College, Glaude’s honors include the Modern Language Association's William Sanders Scarborough Book Prize.
