E. J. Dionne is a government professor at Georgetown University, a senior fellow in governance studies at the Brookings Institution, and writes a political column for The Washington Post. He is a frequent commentator on politics for NPR, ABC’s “This Week,” and MSNBC. Before joining the Post in 1990 as a political reporter, Dionne spent 14 years at The New York Times, covering politics from Washington, Paris, Rome, Beirut, and Albany, NY. He is the author of the books Our Divided Political Heart, Souled Out, Stand Up Fight Back, They Only Look Dead, and most recently, Why the Right Went Wrong: Conservatism from Goldwater to the Tea Party and Beyond.
