Daisy Coleman is an activist, artist, and a primary subject in the feature documentary Audrie & Daisy. Her story drew national attention in 2013 when she spoke to the media after reporting her sexual assault in her small town of Maryville, MO. Coleman serves on the Junior Board of PAVE, a nonprofit working to prevent sexual assault and support survivors, and co-founded SafeBAE, a student-focused, survivor-driven campaign to raise awareness about sexual assault in middle and high school. Along with her advocacy work, Coleman recently completed her freshman year at Missouri Valley College, where she received a wrestling scholarship and is currently training to become a professional tattoo artist.
