President and CEO, Waterfront Alliance

Cortney Koenig Worrall is president and CEO of Waterfront Alliance. She has expertise in climate resilience policy, campaign planning, community outreach, and public participation processes. Prior to this, Worrall led the National Parks Conservation Association’s Northeast office. There, she developed and led the campaign for Stonewall National Monument, designated by President Obama in 2016. Worrall also crafted the Northeast execution of the maintenance backlog reduction campaign in national parks, one of many nationally that resulted in passage of the Great American Outdoors Act. Prior to this, she was the chief operating officer of Waterfront Alliance. In this capacity, Worrall developed waterfront policy for the 2010 New York City Comprehensive Waterfront Plan, executed the organization’s strategy for five-borough ferry service, and launched the development of Waterfront Edge Design Guidelines for the New York-New Jersey Harbor.
