Claudia Saavedra is co-founder of FlairNow, a college and career-access mentoring platform that reaches over 400 students nationally and internationally. A first-generation American and first-generation college student who came from poverty, she’s inspired to help provide economic opportunity. Saavedra is currently building a common application for scholarships and professional development opportunities. As the first Latina elected to the County College of Morris Board of Trustees as alumni trustee, she proposed an artificial intelligence degree program that was enacted the following year. Among several other honors and fellowships, Saavedra represented the United States as a Dalai Lama Fellow, Google featured her work for Hispanic Heritage Month, and she’s been named a Forbes 30 under 30 scholar.
