Charlie Dent is executive director and vice president of the Aspen Institute Congressional Program, where he leads bipartisan, bicameral policy education programs for sitting members of Congress. He is also a senior policy advisor to DLA Piper, providing strategic advice and counsel on public policy issues. Dent served seven terms as a Republican member of the US House of Representatives, representing Pennsylvania’s 15th congressional district from 2005 to 2018. Prior to that, he was a member of the Pennsylvania Legislature for 14 years. Dent is a political commentator for CNN, a distinguished advisor for Pew Charitable Trusts, and a former visiting fellow for the University of Pennsylvania, Perry World House.
