Charles Scharf is CEO of Wells Fargo & Company. A 25-year financial services leader, he was previously CEO of Bank of New York Mellon and chairman of its board. Prior to that, Scharf was CEO of Visa, a managing director of One Equity Partners and CEO of retail financial services at JPMorgan Chase, and CEO of the retail division of Bank One Corp. He has also been CFO of Bank One, Citigroup’s corporate and investment bank division, and Salomon Smith Barney and its predecessor company. Scharf is a director of Microsoft Corporation, trustee of Johns Hopkins University, member of The Business Council, and board member of New York City Ballet.
