Celinda Lake is president of Lake Research Partners and a pollster and political strategist for progressives. Her polling and strategic advice has helped candidates including Senator Debbie Stabenow (MI) and former governor Bob Wise (WV) defeat incumbent Republicans, and her focus on women candidates and women’s concerns helped over a dozen women to the US House and Senate. Lake was pollster for Joe Biden’s 2008 presidential bid, worked for the largest independent expenditure to take back the House for Democrats, and has been a key player in campaigns by groups such as the AFL-CIO, Sierra Club, and Planned Parenthood. She co-authored the book What Women Really Want with Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway.
